Lamprobe
Even minor irregularities in the skin can be difficult to treat at home. Issues such as broken capillaries, skin tags, acne, and more may seem small, but are often best left to professional cosmetic treatments to address. What’s more, these issues can still cause a significant impact for a patient’s self-esteem. At Lewisburg Plastic Surgery, we offer Lamprobe to treat these minor cosmetic problems. This technology is an effective and safe method of creating more even, vibrant, and beautiful skin through minimally invasive techniques which require little to no downtime. Using Lamprobe, patients can enjoy renewed confidence in their appearance without worrying about extensive healing processes or unnecessary side effects following their procedures.
What is Lamprobe?
Lamprobe is a non-invasive treatment option that works using high frequency radio energy. By using this technology, Lamprobe effectively transforms the skin without penetrating the skin’s surface. Instead, the frequencies reach below the skin’s surface without any incisions or injections. During a Lamprobe treatment, a small probe is placed on the skin which emits high frequency waves to heat the cause of the abnormality. Lamprobe is a suitable option for a majority of skin types and tones.
Benefits of Lamprobe
Lamprobe can be used to treat a wide range of common skin conditions and concerns. These include:
- Age spots and dark spots
- Broken capillaries (telangiectasia)
- Skin tags
- Cysts
- Keratoses
- Clogged, congested, or enlarged pores
- Millia
- Benign moles
- Acne
- Xanthelasma
- Spider angiomas
- Cholesterol deposits
In addition to these benefits, Lamprobe treatment is safe for all skin types and tones. The treatment can be used in a range of areas across the face and body. It is noninvasive, pain-free, and does not require downtime.
The Lamprobe Procedure
Lamprobe treatment is completed in our office by skincare nurses. The treatment involves placing the probe directly on the areas of concern. There, it delivers high frequency radio waves, which trigger heat in the top layer of the skin. As such, patients will notice a warming sensation during treatment. However, the treatment should not be painful. Lamprobe treatments can be completed quickly, though the treatment times vary depending on the size of the treatment area and degree of the concern.
In most cases, only one Lamprobe treatment session is required to meet the goal results. However, some patients will require up to four total treatments before their concerns are resolved. During a consultation, your nurse will explain the best treatment plan for your unique needs.
After Lamprobe Treatment
There is no downtime required after Lamprobe treatment and side effects are minimal. Some patients opt for a short period of social downtime, as redness and slight swelling in the treatment area can occur. In addition, patients may see some scabbing through the healing process depending on their reason for treatment.
In a majority of cases, Lamprobe results are immediately visible despite some visible side effects. When this is not the case, patients will notice results within a few weeks of their treatment. This will be explained during your consultation.
