Chin Enlargements
Individuals with small or receding chins may consider a chin enlargement. A chin, that is small in comparison to other facial features, may cause the nose to appear longer and prompt some persons to have a chin enlargement. Those who desire an increased chin prominence can also benefit from a chin enlargement. An improved profile can be achieved with a chin enlargement. With a chin enlargement, a more attractive jawline and balanced facial features are also created.
Having liposuction of the neck, nose reshaping, a neck lift, or laser skin resurfacing in conjunction with a chin enlargement can also enhance the result.
How is a chin enlargement procedure performed?
Done on an outpatient basis, the procedure is completed under sedation, either local or general anesthesia. An incision is made inside the lower lip or under the chin. An implant composed of silicone rubber, Gortex, or calcium substitute is placed in the incision.
